LUXAR^® SILVERSTAR^® Selekt insulated glazing is the perfect all-rounder for heat insulating and solar-reflective applications. Its excellent U-values and minimized SHGC/g-values ensure that temperature levels remain balanced all year round – contributing towards reducing a building’s energy consumption. Typical applications include:

Dimensions

You can order LUXAR^® SILVERSTAR^® Selekt insulated glazing in various thicknesses – allowing you to achieve full room-height glazing.

Reflection levels

LUXAR^® SILVERSTAR^® Selekt insulated glazing comprises for example of two 6mm-thick green glass sheets, a 16mm spacer filled with argon gas and achieves a light reflection value of 3.0% on the exterior.

U-value and SHGC/g-value

A 16mm spacer filled with argon gas enables LUXAR^® SILVERSTAR^® Selekt insulated glazing to achieve a U-value of 1.0 W/m²K (EN 673) and an overall SHGC/g-value of 30%.

Handling

Handle LUXAR^® SILVERSTAR^® Selekt insulated glazing with care and store glass with its protective film (only where applicable) still attached, in an area protected from sunlight. Damage can be avoided by keeping supports, layers and suction tools clean. During installation, remove any traces of sealants right away. It is essential that you keep other building material such as lime or cement away from glass surfaces, as these binders can harm the coating. If the glass does get dirty, wash away any spilled material with plenty of water and avoid rubbing the material, as dirt grains may scratch the glass.

Cleaning

To ensure your LUXAR^® SILVERSTAR^® Selekt insulated glazing stays clear, it should be carefully and regularly cleaned. We recommend using a soft cotton cloth, or a sponge and plenty of water. If needed, non-abrasive, neutral detergents can also be added to the water.
