The requirements on this most traditional of materials are so varied that HY-TECH-GLASS has accepted the challenge of developing itself from a generalist to a specialist and transforming glass by applying anti-reflective and reflective coatings. A cutting-edge, high-vacuum procedure is used to apply several metal oxide coatings to a particular glass to alter its optical properties. The result is a broad spectrum of non-reflective glass and partially reflective glass, anti-reflective insulating glass and beamsplitter glass products that are used today in a host of architectural and interior design, trade fair and store design, exhibition design and technological applications.

Reflection-free glass and mirrored glass not only have intrinsic functional qualities in terms of transparency and visual protection, but also enable a highly individual aesthetic approach to design. Depending on whether they require a clear view or a compact, reflective surface effect, architects, designers and engineers can select from our anti-reflective glass LUXAR^® or LUXAR^® Classic, partially mirrored glass, SPYMIRROR GLASS with 1%, 12% or 20% mirror effect, BEAMSPLITTER GLASS and insulating glass coated with LUXAR^® SILVERSTAR^®. Whether it’s simple float glass, low-iron glass or tinted glass, in principle all types of float glass can be coated to provide the core material for toughened/tempered glass, partially heat strengthened glass, laminated safety glass, alarm glass, bulletproof glass and insulating glass. These specialised products not only change the viewer’s visual perspective but also provide the desired degree of thermal insulation, solar reflection and solar protection.
